I am a song writer (ASCAP member), a husband and a dad, sometimes a photographer / graphic designer, and most days, a software developer. (My wife says I am just a complex guy!!!)

I was born in rural Mississippi during the late '60s, but grew up just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was there in South Louisiana that as a teenager I committed my life to Jesus Christ. Each new day I find that He is faithful and true, and that His grace helps me to face new challenges.

In years past, I was the music minister at Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Southside is also the place that I came to know the Lord. Some years later, I led the praise and worship at Community Bible Fellowship in Gonzales, Louisiana, serving the Lord with pastor Raymond Wade, who remains a close friend even today.

In early 2006, I left South Louisiana to pursue other opportunities. Today my wife and I are raising our family just outside of scenic Nashville, Tennessee.

My Tentmaking: Photography / Design & Computer Programming

While I am passionate about my music and my songwriting, I also provide for my family with additional skills: photography / design and computer programming. In many cases, this has enabled me to share my music without placing undue financial requirements on groups that that would want me to share with them.

I enjoy photography. You might want to blame my mother. She bought me my first SLR when I was a kid in highschool. It helped me to land a job at the local newspaper doing darkroom work after school. Of course, that was back in the film days. Today I have transitioned my skills over to the digital world using Nikon equipment and Photoshop CS3 as my darkroom.

I enjoy meeting new people, shooting their pics, and hearing their stories. I have done shoots of beautiful brides, lovely dairy farm life and landscapes, musicians, children's birthday parties (yes, other than my own), still lifes for music video inclusions, and churches. Most work these days is provided in digital form, but I can also provide beautiful prints of the work.

My design and web work often has my photography incorporated into it. This helps to give you a design that is one of a kind. I can also take the photography work of others and incorporate it into designs. You must have the approval of the photographer in such cases.

I actually got into design out of necessity. Needing artwork related to web sites and applications that I was writing, I created my own. Positive feedback came and I found that I really enjoyed the work. As time went on I branched out creating CD artwork, generating posters, letter head, tickets, programs, and t-shirts. Other folks saw the work and started requesting my services. I enjoy the design and layout work.

Using my computer programming skills, I've worked for companies like ExxonMobil, Hertz, Emco Technologies (Baton Rouge), First Acceptance Insurance (Nashville), FSS Records (Nashville), CDX (Nashville), and The Fireman's Chairitable & Benevolent Association (New Orleans). Presently, I am developing for Oman Systems of Nashville.

My current technology skillset is comprised of the following technologies: PHP / MySQL, Flash ActionScript, and Microsoft's ASP.Net 2.0, VB.Net 2.0, and SQL Server 2005.
